New to St. Hilda's?

Candles 2.jpg

If you are thinking of visiting St Hilda’s for the first time, you are very welcome. Please just come as you are, you don't need to book or contact us first. Everyone is welcome!

Our main service is the Sunday Mass at 10am. The service includes music, incense, and traditional worship, but everything is easy to follow with the service booklet. Children are very welcome at all of our services.

Many people visit just to see what it’s like. Please feel free to simply come in, find a seat, and join us. After the Sunday Mass we share tea and coffee, and you are very welcome to join us.

What Happens at Mass?

The Mass is the main service of the Church. Christians have worshipped God in this way for nearly 2,000 years.

For a while we set aside the cares of the world and gather in prayer and praise, believing that in the Mass, Jesus Christ meets each of us and gives us his grace.

During the service we:

Sing Hymns

Hear a Short Sermon

Our worship also includes incense, candles, and traditional prayers. Everything is printed in the service booklet so it is very easy to follow.

Receive Holy Communion

Listen to Bible Readings

Pray Together
